the JOLT!

How many of us realize the value of happyness? We breathe every day, we meet different people, we go shopping, for coffee, to church, but are we really living our life or are we just existing??? I have come across only a few people who are their true self in front of us and the same when they are at home.. these are people who radiate a sense of happyness that makes you wonder..

HOW can they be so content with everything that's happening around them? You just want to be THAT person!! Its not jealousy, nor envy, its just plain wanting to be a little more happy with events surrounding you..

We all get ecstatic when something good happens, but HOW do the 'HAPPY' guys react when something unforeseen happens?? Will they still be in the same state of mind or would they change? Naturally you would; depending on the circumstance but are their really people out there who are totally unaffected by whatever external influences sprout up in their lives?? No matter how bad it is?? I really wonder..

Something happened recently that made me wonder.. its human emotion to complain about something, even though there is actually no real problem.. But when you hear of a bad thing that has happened to a relative or a good friend which is really serious, you start thinking, hey you are way better off compared to him/her. You feel happy, you become thankful, you sigh a relief!! You get back to a positive frame of mind, and yes HAPPY!! This is exactly what I mean by a JOLT to actual situations and getting life back on track. It might make you happy or it might make you more conscious. But its still a jolt with a rude awakening..

The problem is.. these jolts are mostly temporary, and then you slowly loose wind of it all, and get back to your usual self. Question is do we really need these small jolts to get us back to reality every once in a while or can we learn to keep it forever? I think we need to remind ourselves, not to look for a JOLT to get back to being HAPPY..

Yes its all an Ideal scenario!! But there's no harm in dreaming about it and thinking that  IT IS POSSIBLE! ;)

112 posts later

I dunno why it never occurred to me, but its been a yr and 2 months since I started blogging! I never thought that I would go beyond a couple of posts or months before I give my fingers a break. Yes there have been times where I did lose interest, and got the bloggers block; and the only thing that excited me in my blog would be to see the number of visits it got in a day!! :)

But over the months I have felt a difference in my outlook towards blogging. A surge of interest has crept back in and no longer do visits excite me.. (Who am I kidding?? :P) Nevertheless on a serious note, I am starting to understand and appreciate the true meaning of blogging. :)

Who wants to be a MILLIONAIRE??

As I stare at my laptop screen looking for new job opportunities I can't help but wonder how easy it would be if I could just be a Millionaire overnight. Or I blink my eyes and there I've got a Million bucks right in front of me.. Some times, I've thought if I did have a Million bucks would I really be that happy?? Would I just ponder about ways to invest that money, or would I think about ways to spend it??

Having had that thought poke me in my head for a few years, I have gradually realized that, it really doesn't matter!! Well we all do dream about being rich n famous, and am not saying a lil extra money could hurt. Nor am I saying that you don't need money at all. What I'm saying is, if you count the number of little things that make you happy and fill that void in your life, then we are ALL already MILLIONAIRES.

So what if you don't have the latest phone!! If you still do have a phone to keep in touch with your dearest ones, then there you are RICH.
So what if you don't have a HUGE house to set up your ENTERTAINMENT CENTER!! If you still have a house to stay which is decent enough, you are again RICH.
So what if your not good in FOOTBALL or another sport!! If you still have all your organs, limbs, sensations bla bla.. you are still RICH!
Anyway you get the POINT... These are just 3 simple examples I can take from a MILLION!

We all whine about not having something that the other person has, or jealous about someone else for very small things. Its human nature, and comes quite naturally. To outgrow that emotion does not need a lot of maturity.. just a sense of letting go and being happy for others prosperity. Its funny, but if you look at it in this way, its more of an INSPIRATION!

Now, You can compare this to BLESSINGS, but I'd stick to calling these PERKS and opportunities that we take for granted.. Just having all these small perks adds up to much more than a MILLION. And if you get a kick out of knowing that you are already one, that should be fuel to strive harder!!

Cheers..

The Infinite Monkey Theorem

I chanced about this theory when searching for something really important. Its basically this.

"The infinite number theory revolves around the idea that a monkey hitting random keys on a keyboard or typewriter for an infinite amount of time, will for surely type in a text".

Call it weird, insane, cheesy.. but it does sound possible. Anyway there's more of the theorem in this link:
Junkworthknowing

I could not follow the Math part of it. But the rest of it surely does sound true.

The three monkeys..

I read the news every morning, evening on my NDTV app.. I listen to it on the BBC while driving my car. I try to keep a track of the latest tech innovations. I read gossips, fitness tips, health tips, philosophy, senseless  rants etc. Its not just me, its the same with people all over the world.

While I feel some of it is necessary to live in the present, the rest just dictates information that distorts your simple thinking. People go on and on about stuff they hear or read, that have no relevance to their lives or to others they are conversing with. Its just waste of time, and information!! Yes you can probably entertain some, but don't people realize that it could be boring to others ears?? Similar to FREEDOM OF SPEECH.. there is also an untold FREEDOM TO LISTEN!!

I have the utmost respect for Sales people. They have to get the customer to like what they have to sell, while at the same time, talking stuff relevant to the customers ears even if that means they have to smile and force themselves through the whole experience. In a way this is what we do, but a good sell can also be keeping quiet whenever required.

Some of these sayings that I have learnt to appreciate over time...
IGNORANCE IS BLISS!!
TOO MUCH KNOWLEDGE IS A DANGEROUS THING!!
Why do people complicate simple things?? A glass of water is still a glass of water!!

To conclude, I just came across a quote by Stephen Hawking that combine both the above sayings and keep the essence of what I've been trying to put across... "The Greatest enemy of Knowledge is not Ignorance, it is the ILLUSION of Knowledge!!"

Yes Man!

I was just going through my movie collection on my hard disk and decided its time to sit n clear some of the unwanted, time wasting, senseless movies which I would probably never watch. Its been on the PC for the past 4 years but I have always found it hard to press the delete button on the keyboard.

After going through some of the movies, I came across 'Yes Man' and it was in the list of movies that I had already seen. Somehow I couldn't remember when and how it was. So after forwarding it in a jiffy, I felt I should sit and watch this over lunch. I had just been 25 minutes into the movie when I started wondering why I never remembered much about it. Cause YES it is good!!!

Anyway, I've always had this logic behind watching a movie.
1.... They had to have a good rating.
2.... I should not regret wasting my time after watching it.
3.... They got to make you feel good.
4.... They should be inspiring.

Getting back to what I was saying, there have always been movies that inspire me or make me think.
I'm not saying Yes Man is one of them, but it does make one feel good. I have always felt that if you are going to get that dull head of yours to think for a while by watching some movie, then go ahead. But again, that doesn't mean you watch SAW and be like, hey lets play a game on someone's life..  :P Cos yea there are psychos out there who do get a tick out of such stuff too. You can't blame them, but hell we gotta stay away from them!!!

Some of those movies:
Pursuit of Happyness made me realize the value of money, and I thought I would work hard, be good and spend wisely from then on. Think it lasted 10 days!!! :)
Into the Wild and Lakshya have always been favourites. There is so much realism and you feel you can relate to the character. Well I felt I could!!! Matrix (Yes Matrix!!) No Comments. Stranger than fiction.. What a beautiful story!? Imagine if someone were writing your life, every moment hence, and you could only helplessly listen and wait what would happen next.. There are loads more, but these are the ones I can remember for now.

What I've learnt from all these are, there are some of us who would change after watching a movie. Some for the better, some for the worse. There are those who do not get affected by a movie. Those who would blindly believe stuff they see in the movie.. Its weird yet funny, but that's how human emotions are.  ;)

“When Puyol finally dies, at worst he’ll be out for three weeks.”

The rain poured down as time ran out with the result still at 0-0. Disappointment around the Camp Nou started to spread among the 98,000 people who had managed to get themselves there that December evening in 2008. For many it was a dream come true, but would their dream end like this–goalless in the rain? Carles Puyol had another idea, as he threw himself into the air. He did not think about how he would land or where he would go. He had just one thing in his mind–the goal. His curly locks fluttered in the air as Puyol seemingly emerged from nowhere to propel the ball toward goal, only to see it miss the target. However, the lion, Samuel Eto’o, who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, was there to get a toe on it–1-0. The striker ran toward the corner, screaming with happiness, yanking on his shirt as the rain poured down, while the whole stadium exploded with cries of “¡Madrid! ¡Cabron! ¡Salud al Campeon!” This is one of the most magical moments of my life.
Eto’o ran toward where we were sitting. He was only five meters away when not only his teammates but the entire bench surrounded him in celebration. My sister was responsible for capturing the entire game on camera, so I frantically turned to her as the players made it back out on to the pitch. “Did you get it? Did you get pictures of his celebration?” She said she thought she had some great shots. I was euphoric.
Looking through the pictures later, I couldn’t find any of Eto’o celebrating. Instead she had captured whom she thought was the goalscorer–Carles Puyol. His reaction — lying on the ground, just screaming from happiness — caused her to think he had scored the opener. I couldn’t blame her, the passion Puyol shows on the pitch can easily fool anyone in these situations.
The whole moment just showed once again how special and fantastic Carles Puyol, our captain, is. Even when Eto’o, the rest of the players, and the entire bench had demonstrated tremendous happiness, Puyol still exuded the most passion.
It has been 13 years since the curly headed 21-year-old made his first team debut. From the very start, the boy showed no fear in throwing himself into the most horrifying situations. What soon emerged was his own style of playing, of defending. With Puyol on the pitch, three different outcomes are possible. The first is if he fails to win the ball, in which case the opponents pass him and go one on one with the goalkeeper. The second possibility sees him win the ball and start a new attack. The third outcome involves putting himself so much on the line that he gets brutally injured.
His is a risky way of playing, but from the age of 21 he has never failed to give his all on the pitch. Carles Puyol has always played this way. Even if he has become more experienced and mature, he still never shies away from a hard challenge. He plays dangerously, not for his opponents, but for himself. He would risk his arm, his leg, an eye, or whatever body part was needed for his team to win. It seems pain holds no fear for him. A different person might not dare to put a toe in, but Carles Puyol will jump right in, head first.
It’s also this style of not holding back on the pitch that has made his parents fearful of watching  him play. After the Champions League finals in 2006, 2009 and 2011, the first thing the Barça captain did upon leaving the pitch was call his mother to tell her they had won. His mother was not among the millions of people watching the game. After 13 years with Barça’s first team, Puyol’s mother has yet to see him play. The reason is simple–she can’t stand watching her son hurt himself.

The same was true for Puyol’s father, until the Champions League final in 2006. For the final, Carles’ father went to Paris and was able to see his son lift the trophy for the first time. Sadly, it was also the last game he ever saw, as he tragically passed away the same year from an accident at work. After his death, Carles Puyol broke down, and for two seasons the otherwise dedicated fighter lost focus. But, being the man and player he is, even after the tragedy, Puyol bounced back.
During his time in the first team, Carles Puyol has suffered 35 major injuries. He has had surgery four times, played with a mask on several occasions, has seen blood pour from his head and his arm twist the wrong way. There is simply nothing that can stop him. When he broke his nose in 2003, he was told he couldn’t play, but he asked the medical team to figure out a way to make it possible. He couldn’t let his team down. A special mask was made and Puyol has worn it on several different occasions, suffering from other facial injuries over the years.
His priority is always the team, even now. Last Tuesday, after tests confirmed that his elbow was dislocated, Puyol turned to physiotherapist Juanjo Brau and asked: “I won’t be able to play on Sunday?”. The next day, after leaving the hospital, Puyol tweeted: “Good Morning! The sun always shines again..”. His reaction was one we have come to expect,  when he is down he always stands back up, brushes off the dust, and is ready to play again.
It’s hard for anyone to symbolize the heart of Barça better than Carles Puyol. When he is out on the pitch, he gives his all. For Puyol, “Fútbol Club Barcelona represents the country of Catalunya, for me it’s a way of life“. The defender has always supported Barça. Like many of the players in the first team, he grew up loving FC Barcelona. His brother once said in an interview that when they were children, little Carles would refuse to eat dinner if Barça had lost a game, instead going straight to bed. His love for the club has helped him become the player who’d risk his life on the pitch for the team, as well as the ultimate Captain.
When Frank Rijkaard told Puyol that he would be the new Captain for the 2003/04 season, Puyol initially refused. Instead, he insisted that the team should vote on who should wear the Captain’s armband. The team did, and Puyol won by a landslide. His team-mate Ronaldinho once stated that Carles Puyol was born to be the captain of FC Barcelona. It’s hard to argue with that. Carles has become the ultimate captain for the club.
Puyol never lets his teammates rest, not even for one second. In a team that plays the kind of risky football that Barça does, losing focus for one moment can lead to big problems. In an interview, Piqué once described what it was like to play with Puyol. After the captain had just come back from an injury, Piqué turned to his teammate in the middle of the game to tell him how much he’d missed him. Puyol’s response: “shut the hell up and concentrate”. Another time, when the game was stopped with an injury, Puyol started shouting at Piqué, who answered that the captain should calm down. At that time Barça was 4-0 up and there were only three minutes left on the clock. Once again the answer was straight forward: “So what? Focus!”.
One of Puyol’s finest moments as captain came during the 2011 Champions League final. Guardiola showed his final videos, gave some last-minute advice, and read aloud the list of players. Eric Abidal walked up to Puyol and asked him, surprised, “Why aren’t you playing? Did you know he was going to leave you out?”. Puyol replied, “I’m not important right now, you are what matters; don’t worry about me.” It wasn’t the response Abidal was expecting, and he later explained the situation to the media by saying, “Do you have any idea what a fucking badass we have as captain? Do you? Champions League final, they tell him he’ll be warming the bench, and he’s the one comforting me! This is Barcelona.”
Later, Puyol was on the pitch, about to go up to lift the third Champions League trophy of his career, maybe the one that mattered the most to him. It was another great moment for the club he loves, and came after a year of difficulty with injuries. At that moment, Carles Puyol went up to Abidal, gave him the captain’s armband, and told him: you deserve it more.
Numerous moments and images come to mind pop when I think of Carles Puyol: kissing the captain’s armband at the Bernabeu, forming a heart with his hands at Camp Nou, walking without a shirt and only the captain’s armband wrapped around his arm on an ice cold November evening in Copenhagen. It’s hard to imagine anyone being more proud to wear the armband than Carles Puyol, or to be a stronger leader than he has been.
After his injury this past week, someone stated: “When Puyol finally dies, at worst he’ll be out for three weeks.” Another person responded that “Tomorrow they will announce that Puyol will be out for 10 months. On Thursday it will be three months; Friday down to one. On Saturday he will be ‘doubtful’. On Sunday he will play.” Whenever it may be, we all know he will be back. Puyol once said he will play for 10 more years. Though I doubt this statement, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did. When he is down, he always rises again.
This, dear culés, is Carles Puyol, the captain of FC Barcelona.

As taken from Totalbarca!!
Brilliant article.. Loved it. Just made me RESPECT Puyol even more....

Dan

Dan: Dear Readers, for most of you, this is my first column in your paper. In the future, I will be answering your questions, but today I want to break from my usual format and talk to you about the subject of plans. Not so much my plan for this column, but life plans, and how we all make them. And how we hope that our kids make good, smart, safe plans of their own. But if we're really honest with ourselves, our plans usually don't work out as we had hoped. So instead of asking our young people "What are your plans? What do you plan to do with your life? maybe we should tell them this: Plan to be surprised."

World War III??? PART 1

There were times, when real wars were fought by men with SWORDS or GUNS or BOMBS. But come the 21st century and technology has made us pick sides between two of the BIGGEST smartphone manufacturers in the world. By BIGGEST, what I mean is Market share and yes I'm talking about APPLE vs SAMSUNG! I wouldn't mind starting a fight with a Real Madrid fan, at least that has something muscle about it. But all this bickering, lawsuits, claims are taking a toll on the intellectual of users who do nothing but find out flaws in the other smart phone company. There would never be a closure, and yes it would go on and on and on.. so whatever one may say would be pointless. Nevertheless, I thought I'd step up and share my views on the Apple vs Samsung RAGE!

Firstly... YES I'm an APPLE fanboy.. or whatever the F*** you put it.

There are Fanboys in every market. If you advocate for your taste of a brand/product, there is nothing wrong with it. There are Fanboys for Samsung, HTC, Nokia bla bla.. even Chinese Phones. Get over it! Grow up! We are all one or have been one of them in this CURRENT WORLD..
If you are not, good for you, you are one of those persons who are not materialistic by nature. CHEERS!
Now the irony! I have never been an APPLE FANBOY, but ever since Samsung Fanboys got to poking fun at Apple products, I just couldn't help but liking Apple Products even more better.

Now, to all my Samsung User friends, I totally understand that you are in love with your product and yes there are features in the S3 that are innovative beyond doubt. Taking nothing away from the S3 I just got one question..

WOULD YOU EVEN HAVE OWNED A GALAXY IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE IPHONE?
Ans: NO!

Iphone is what made the Smartphone manufacturers realize thats the next big thing and ticking for a slice of the market. You unfortunately have Apple to thank for. Give credit where it deserves! Now if you were to say that Palm or Sony or HTC had similar interfaces, I agree, but Apple revolutionized the Touch Interface and they knew what they had in their hand.

And the Apple packaging of their Smart phones. Now can a genius tell me how the F*** Samsung got the same packaging style? How the F*** the chargers look so similar? How the F*** the USB port on your 3 pin plug came almost out of the blue? DUH!!!!

WHY APPLE IS APPLE?

Remember the times of the MAC COMPUTERS. Even I have scorned at that humongous piece of SHIT, their huge floppy disks and whatever it was. I never knew why they even sold it, whereas the usual Desktop PCs were a lot easier and compatible with everything, even the furniture. But looking back, APPLE always had their NICHE consumers. There always was something special about it. See the Apple philosophy has always been,

WE DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE! THIS IS OUR PRODUCT! YOU WANT IT? TAKE IT! ELSE F*** OFF!

You SIMPLY cannot tell someone to F*** OFF and yet still be in the market. That defies all MARKETING LOGIC but yet that is HOW exactly they market.

NOW GETTING BACK TO THE IPHONE vs SAMSUNG GALAXY

Apple has consistently released only one model every year into the SMARTPHONE market unlike Samsung with their ever growing list of models added every year. Still to have been first and now second in the market share with just ONE FREAKIN MODEL is a STATEMENT that they don't need to over emphasize and even an LKG kid can quite easily understand.

One iPhone as compared with Galaxy S1,2,3,ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ,NOTE, BLA BLA BLA

Regarding the Samsung copying Apple, ITS TRUE!! ACCEPT IT and MOVE ON.
But to be fair, I would keep it till their S3. They have worked a lot and deserve due credit, at least from me I give credit to the S3.

Now comparing the iPhone yet again with the S3.

First thing, Apple does not compare the iPhone with the S3! Its always been Samsung trying to find flaws in the iPhone. As seen in the recent trend in official Samsung spoofs. Its pathetic! Yea you guys lost the case, but seriously stop being SORE LOSERS.. have some dignity and move ON!

The iPhone 5, definitely has lesser features than the S3. Now my take on some of the features which I don't find necessary and have valid arguments:

Display
If Apple wanted to increase their screen size just to beat other Smart phones they could. SIMPLE??? GET IT?? Now why they dint would be cause they dint find it necessary. I have been using and iPhone 4 for 2 years and found this big enough to fit in my hand. Never once found a reason for wanting to have a bigger screen.

NFC
NFC for payment has still not been implemented by VISA and MASTER and other mandatory organizations like EUROPAY completely. The reason being, it is still under development stages even though it was patented in 2004. The use of its standards have not been documented for complete use. Yes we see it for ticketing in metros etc, but apparently its not full blown. Hence the reason why Apple is not yet ready to experiment with it. Google Wallet iss apparently a big thing, but it still hasnt taken off.

NFC for wireless charging?? Now seriously you want me to get to that. For F*** sake you gotta keep your phone right above the charger for charging. Whats so GREAT in that?? If that were the case you could just connect it to your wired charger and yes it would be faster and more EFFICIENT.

Apps
http://www.theverge.com/2012/9/20/3364082/android-security-fears-carriers-developers
Apple have the highest number of apps.. #FACT
So what if most apps are paid. 1$ for an app really is not a big deal! Plus there are jail breaks available. I for one do not jail break. Have never found a reason to. I like the phone the way it is.

FLASH
Do people even know that Adobe Flash is being phased out??? It was one of the 2 reasons why Apple never bothered about Flash. The other being their tiff with Adobe. Flash has never been a necessity for Apple.

Apple CHIPSET
I have never found my phone to be a must DUAL CORE or currently a QUAD CORE. Its fast the way it is. I found it faster than the then S1. The S2 released after the iPhone 4. So logically and analytically yes it is supposed to be faster. Then the iPhone 4S came and and yes it BEAT the S2. Finally the S3 came and hence it beat the 4S. Its not rocket science to understand how technology has to be advanced as per competition. By processing speed there are analytics that prove how each phone compares in various segments. Look it up and you'll know exactly what I mean. Well I did read somewhere that the graphics of the A6 is quad core. I still did not get what that meant. But YEA it would have been wiser to put a quad core chip, just to keep everyone's pie hole SHUT! Anyway waiting for the iPhone 5's analytics.

Lightning Connector
I have been reading a lot of reviews on how this modification has been a pain in the A*** for most accessory manufacturers and consumers. But tell me something, you seriously think that would stop these same manufacturers from making more money by selling this off to the same disheartened consumers? NO. The Lightning Connector is here to stay. Ppl have to revolve around Apple if they want to have a smooth sailing. Thats been their ideology and not mine. Again, 10 years of the 30 pin dock was a lot for Apple. They "innovated" with the Lightning Dock. ;)
Anyway check this article.

This isnt over.. to be contd...

Football has always been EXPLOSIVE!!

There's always been bad blood in football.. Every club has their fair share of rivalry... Be it Real Madrid vs Barcelona, Man Utd vs Liverpool, or wherever, but this just takes rivalry to a whole new level. To be honest I don't think this was a case of rivalry, but CMON WTF is a grenade doing in the middle of a football ground?????

This is what happened during an AFC Champions League match between Iranian side Sepahan and Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli. Al-Ahli fans are known for their notoriety, so wouldn't be surprised if one of them thought, hey lets see if we can bomb an Sepahan player..  :D
Anyway, this guy has got his stars to thank, cos if he were a bit late in throwing that grenade.. he could have kissed his hand goodbye!!

Unsettled by The Blaugrana

I've been having a lot of concerns on the way the BLAUGRANAS have been performing since the latter half of the 2011-2012 season. And though I had this childish like optimism that they would bounce back in the end and lift the Liga Title, my inner gut feeling always knew I was kidding myself. They did win the UEFA Super Cup, the Spanish Super Copa, Club World Cup in the beginning.  But towards the end, we had to settle for the much lesser Copa Del Rey which was deserving but not anywhere as coveted as the La Liga title. I don't even want to get to how we fucked up our Champion's League Title chances.

The way Real Madrid played, I was sure they would be lifting their Decima, no gut feeling whatsoever. But losing to Bayern was another shocker.

Anyway the reasons behind my concerns for Barcelona started since Villa's injury. But I knew that was just the tip of the ICEBERG. Why did Barca play the way they did? And why are they still not in pole position, but rather fighting back as the underdogs. Here are my viewpoints:

Barca's formation and style

This has been very predictable over the past few months. Other coaches have started working that to their advantage. I just don't get why we cant have 3 proper defenders like normal teams. I'm not asking for 4.. just 3 for CRYING OUT LOUD.

Abundance of players who are not being utilized as per their position.

Namely:

Tello is a Left winger, He just cannot play any other position, and his playing style doesn't suit Barca unless it were against teams where the occasional long ball will do good. I wud say sell him off to an EPL club where he wud perform brilliantly!

Fabregas! No one still has the slightest clue where he can be lethal. He may be an attacking midfielder, but with the likes of Xavi and Iniesta he is a lost puppy. The only other position he can play is false 9, but with Messi as the Center Fwd that position is also unavailable. I'd be glad if he wud replace Xavi, but except for his first half at Barca he just doesnt luk convincing enough to replace those BIG SMALL BOOTS!

Montoya! He has what it takes to replace Puyol, but hasnt been given as many starting options yet. With more experience he will be a better CB. I hope Tito utilizes him well.

Messi! YES MESSI! He is not a CF for Christ sake.. He is Left Winger/AM. During his initial days, that was his preferred position and he always had the momentum to drive the ball in with the space he had, hence creating sublime movements and finishes. Being a CF all he does is get the ball with his back turned to 5-6 opposing team players, gets a maximum of 2 touches, either passes, shoots but mostly loses the ball (IN MY OPINION). I don't know how he still goes on scoring with those little opportunities, but I would love him to get back to his natural position. Also if he were to move back, that position could be replaced by Fabregas/Sanchez. I don't know if im the only one who feels the same. But after seeing all these latest matches I cannot help but noticing this. Its a gradual looming CRISIS and the earlier looked into the better. Right now he is more susceptible to injuries, and I feel he's not taking as many risks for fear of injury.

Song/Busquests! Ever since the arrival of Song, Busquets seems out of focus. You never get to see him as we used to until Song's arrival. Busquets is still one of the best AM for Barca and Song shud be tried more often as a CB. Only thing lacking for Song is pace, otherwise with his built he can take down any player.

Now players who I think we could get rid of.

Namely:

Adriano! He is a RB but you hardly see him getting back to position during counters. He is ineffective as a whole and can be avoided. Also he is very temperamental and that was very evident with the last Clasico. He played like he wanted to be RED CARDED!

XAVI!! Yes XAVI! I wouldnt want him out, but rather on the bench. Cos his position might give Fabregas a boost. Xavi is still the best Holding Midfielder for Barca but he isnt getting any younger. Another 2 years and there are bound to be changes. So the gradual the better. And I see no one else capable to fill his void if he were to leave Barca.

Alves!! I haven't seen him a lot lately. Either he's getting very injury prone or he's having temperamental issues. When he's on for Barca he plays that assist role to Messi immensely, but lately Tito has screwed up his position and I dnt know for what joy. Alves is injury prone, and that's the only reason I want him out.

Pep to Tito Transition

One of the gr8st for Barca does deserve his rest period. And I for one totally understand why he needed it. Its more of like a MANAGERIAL BLOCK.. something of the likes of a Writer's Block. He needs to rejuvenate himself and come back strongly. As much as I would want him to return to Barca, I really doubt that would happen. If he were to go to any other club, I would pray it be to AC MILAN or BAYERN cause those are my other fav clubs. :D
TITO cannot fill Pep's void. What he lacks in charisma though, he makes it up in his analysis. I feel he is a good reader of the game and is ready to gamble as per the situation. Some thing that Pep lost towards the end. Also he needs time to settle down. One thing I really like about Tito though is, he knows how to handle the media and his players. I just want him to react more during the game. Its like a DEAD BODY in the midst of WAR!

Style of Play.

Yes Barca are known for their TIKI-TAKA and they the BLOODY best at it. Yet, the only thing I disagree is, passing unnecessarily right in front of the goal. TAKE SHOTS. Don't leave it to MESSI to finish. We have players capable of converting, but why they don't is still unthinkable.
Again, one thing I noticed when we play with ANNOYINGLY DEFENSIVE teams.. yes like CHELSEA, INTER, is that we are always attacking and right in their face. Instead we should attack but at the same time, pull their defense out of their area. That way it makes space for a quick one on one. I have seen only Iniesta doing that on a lot of occasions and that is why he is the HEART/SOUL of the Barca team.

Defense
Our lack of Puyol, and inconsistent defending especially at times of COUNTER ATTACK has seen us lose the Champion's League as well as La Liga Title. This is something that has been troubling for a while, and its the same that happened during Barca's debut champion's league match for this season. I just hope, we sort this out. Either get good defenders or put 3 permanent ones in the formation.

Mandan Valdes

He may have been with the A-TEAM for a decade, but he's getting clumsier by match. Time to rope in a new Goal Keeper and put him on the bench. No DISRESPECT but Valdes your time is UP!

I have been wanting to blog abt this for quite a while.. and its been eating my head away. So finally am glad its out from my system. Looking forward for some new tactical, formational changes.. and yes hell of a good SEASON!

People are Awesome!!

Some of us have done it all.. while some of us have done none of this..
It IS CRAZY.. it is WILD.. but what's LIFE without a little craziness!!!
I don't think I have de balls to do 5% of the stunts in this video.. but nevertheless I feel that adrenaline pumping just by the thought of imagining myself if I were to do any of this SHIT!

Though most of the stuff in the video wud probably be edited, the underlying meaning getting across is still.. PEOPLE ARE AWESOME!!
Wonder how many are still alive.. ;)
Oh yeah.. n this is my new tripping..  and this is exactly what I mean by a tripping song for the car!!!

P.S: The music is BurtyCox - The Signal! And that's what makes it even more awesome!

The Internet Map

For an above the average kinda techie guy, I still feel there is a lot of untapped tech stuff out there that I haven't come across and a lot that I wouldn't probably understand given a lifetime unless I try to put in an effort. So I happen to come across this page, apparently the author's personal project, and I for one admire the simplicity in what he was trying to explain internet traffic.

Quoting from theverge.com, "Imagine the web as a giant galaxy where the planets are sites clustered together by likeness, where each site represented by a circle varies in size depending on the amount of traffic it gets"

Speaks volumes and any dummy can understand this.
Again if you enter your country, it shows the sites with most traffic there. No clue how authentic the data is, but you get the point. :)

Happy Bday Messi Boy!

I'm a bit late, but if I don't write a word or 2 on the Messiah, it would be disrespectful to him as a fan. ;)

Lionel Andres Messi or better known as Messi turned 25 and still having not yet reached the prime of his career has surpassed records and accomplishments many galore. This guy is a freaking goal scoring machine.. his puny/chubby appearance may mislead you, but he isn't called a magician on the field for no reason!

Messi has already received 2 Ballon d'Ors, 1 Fifa World Player of the year, won 5 La Liga titles and 3 Champion's League titles. In 2008, he won his first international honor, an Olympic gold medal, with the Argentina Olimpic Football team.

Some of his many records:
  • Most goals scored in a single UEFA Season: 14
  • Most goals scored in a single league season: 50
  • Most La liga hat-tricks in a season: 8
  • Most UEFA UCL hat tricks: 3
  • Only player to receive the UEFA top scorer award 4 years in a row.
  • Youngest player to reach 150 league goals
  • Barcelona Record Goal Scorer: 253
And the list goes on..  Wiki

Keep going on Messi boy, and love the fact that I have been lucky enough to watch the best footballer ever to have played on Earth in my lifetime! Hoping for many more Messi magical moments. Ciao!

Wataniya Net on Phone

Finally Wataniya has brought out better rates on their Internet Plans.

KD 5 for 1.5GB is worth it if you are not a heavy internet phone user. The earlier 7.5KD for 500MB was measly.

Football is indeed injurious to health!

Read this article in the NDTV sports section recently:
Beijing: A die-hard Chinese fan of the England football team died at his home in Changsha in Hunan province after continuously watching games for 11 nights since the start of Euro 2012.

The 26-year-old man died June 19. He was said to be healthy and fit, and one who played for his college soccer team, the China Daily reported.

The man watched a match between Italy and Ireland, and drank a lot of beer with his friends in a bar till 5 a.m. June 19. He returned home to sleep, from which he never woke up. His mother found him dead on the bed, when she tried to wake him up June 20.

A doctor said multiple factors led to the man's death, including prolonged sleep deprivation, massive amounts of beer, a bath after drinking as well as a low indoor temperature. The cause of death was low blood sugar and slow blood circulation.

AaaaAAAAaaAAaaaaa....... ;D

30 seconds to lift up your spirits! Jus 30 seconds.. I cudnt stop laughing after seeing this ad! Reminds me of some of those crazy shit we did in college.. Right guys? ;) Mirindaaaaaaah...

Switching lanes...

Lately there have been a lot of events and its as if someone has been playing crazy lil pinball games with my mind. I have been wanting to write a post on some of it, but the thoughts keep coming in random bolts or bursts which I can't piece together to make sense of it all. That state of mind you are in when you have awoken from sleep after having dreamed of inconsequential events, and do not make sense, yet you try to figure out whether there can possibly be any real sense into it. I still don't make sense, I KNOW.. but giving a try and seeing if something does come out of this.

Change.. 'To give a completely different form or appearance to'.
I've never quite understood this.. It can be a person, it can be a situation, it can be an event.. I'm trying to put a whole philosophical element into this definition. Why do we change? Why can't we be how we are when were little? Be our natural self. Do we like the change or just accept it and go ahead?

I for one being a stubborn egoistic jerk, was never a fan of change and I still get pissed off at the silliest reasons. But nowadays everyone is so busy, no one tries to appreciate the little bundles of freedom or excitement. New commitments, new habits, making money, new job.. fuck..  there's no time for life!! I am someone who would want to run away at the hint of a commitment/ responsibility, but I have started to appreciate all those who take that plunge towards commitment. I wish I could let go easily, as if all the excess baggage I've been carrying were lost in some transit flight and irretrievable. By letting go, you are actually clearing space for something new and exciting to happen. Change happens whether you like it or not, but learning how it affects you and accepting it with arms wide open is when you have matured enough. It doesn't mean you change your color completely and camouflage yourself into being someone else. Just be true to yourself in the end.

No way I can accept such big changes with arms wide open, but probably hands wide open.. for a start.. YES!!

And yes that's why I'm 'SWITCHING LANES' yet again.. Dividing my life into different phases is what made me realize that I have switched lanes a couple of times to adapt to what is currently happening. So if long time back I was in the fast track and then sobered down to the slow track and then met with a few punctures or accidents on the way, what I noticed is its always good to be in the middle lane. Being realistic, down to earth, happy go lucky and positive... a few of those attributes we need in life to appreciate those little bundles of joy and freedom.

Lastly what I need to do..  to keep my self in this track is to make that occasional trip to somewhere unknown, some place away from all the hassles of reality, where its just you and nature.. some holy lake to wash yourself clean.. a place where you shout out your emotions..and GET HIGH on this four letter word called L.I.F.E!

On that note.. here is a song called Another Perfect day by the band American Hi Fi..  Again its the Lyrics that make the song more special than the Music..

I'm holding on, waiting for your call
It's simple, but I can't explain this
I'm sinking down; I feel like I could die
I'm falling off; I don't know why

[Chorus:]

I still believe it when you say
It's another perfect day
Another perfect day
I still believe it when you say
It's another perfect day
Another perfect day

So I might try to leave it all behind

I know tomorrow's not so bright now
I'll say goodbye 'cause nothing good can last
(You wear and figured no where fast)
And today I don't know how to keep it all inside
But I guess I'll let it slide

[Chorus]

Today I don't know why

I thought that it was real
But I guess it's no big deal

[Chorus]

I don't know how

I don't know how
To let it slide

Et volem Pep

So much in so few years, yet those few years have made him the youngest most cherished coach of the Catalan Kingdom and also loved by all football fans. Josep Guardiola is a LEGEND already and he deserves every bit of adulation thrown at him. Forget coach, as a human being, he is the closest you will get to humility, modesty and earthiness.

To blog or not to blog???

Lately I haven't been writing as much as I used to when I started this blog. You could call it lack of interest or lack of time or just lack of things to share. Possibly the last one wud be more apt! However I have no clue who or how, but all of a sudden my page views per day has shot up! Nope I don't track my own views! Cud it be that Google has screwed up some code in their web analytics? Or cud it be that there are really some posts worth reading that all of a sudden they got recognized? Or cud it simply be that I've got someone stalking over my blog?? ;)

But whatever it is, these are small motivations that will help me go on n on. And cheers to all those who read the rubbish that I write. When I look back, I'm surprised by some of the crap that I've posted, but what the hell! ;) Anyway hoping for more quality posts from my side...

Any idiot can be an Artist!

Lately, the market share for SLR cameras over DigiCams has grown by a huge margin. Probably coz of the fact being more guys are willing and able to spend for high quality pictures. DigiCams are slowly turning out to be a thing of the past with new smart phones having equally dominant specs and ease of use.

Our Idiot Brother

Today I watched the movie 'Our Idiot Brother'. Mainly because I like Paul Rudd and again because he has got this totally laid back look for the film which is different from his conventional suited up looks in other movies.

I wouldn't say the movie is a must watch, or that its a whole new script. But its got s simple moral of the story. Yeah when was the last time you ever got one??? Been real long eh? Its about, how in today's world where you got to lie for the simplest reasons, or be a total asshole and just not give a fuck about someone else' feeling or rather.... not ready to face consequences even though just saying the truth will make your life a bit more at peace. Here is this guy who does the exact opposite. He is insanely gullible, trustworthy and honest to the core that everyone else around him sees him as a pain in the ass. How he messes the lives of those around him just by saying the obvious. Simply simple!

So what project??

Simple.. exhilarating.. full of life!!
I just heard this song a few days before and I can certify that its one of those songs that you love on the first listen! If I'm wrong, swear at me or do wateva you like!
The song has basically got just 10 main words and 6 lines repeated over and over again! But its fuckin awesome!

Forget the lyrics, if you are on the spiritual side. But appreciate the music for what its worth!
And now for another AWESOME FACT.. Its sung by an Argentinian Band!
;)

Real Madrid Island Resort!

I heard about the Real Madrid Resort Island project a few days earlier, but only recently looked it up. Its quite amazing that this 50 hectare resort is again going to be on a Man made island. Any guesses as to where? Simple! Ras al-Khaimah (One of the Emirates), U.A.E. One more added to the many other man made islands.

The Curse of the 'G'

How often do you check your phone to see what new updates you have on your facebook or whatsapp or any other app? I think I do it like every 2 minutes. I can't help it. Its like I have been programmed to see what I am missing on even if its just been a few minutes gone by.

The Wall has finally cracked!

A terrific innings has finally come to an end! Rahul Dravid or rather 'The Wall' as he is widely known as, has finally retired from Test Cricket.
We have lost one more from the Famous Four who were an integral part of Indian cricket for the past 15 years. But I feel blessed to have watched him play during all those years alongside the likes of Ganguly, Tendulkar, and Laksman. Yes I'm going to miss him even though cricket has not always been my first love. Some people deserve R.E.S.P.E.C.T. And one such person is Rahul Dravid!

Yup its a Pup!

Yes its a puppy (NOT MINE). One and a half month old Maltese and just the sight of it is so adorable. If you've ever had one of those small battery operated toy puppies that squeal when you were a kid, then this is exactly the real life version and all the more cute. Trust me, how much ever you cuddle it, you just wouldn't be satisfied. You might just squeeze the life out of it.

To all those who are planning on buying a dog, this would probably grow maximum to 1.5ft in height and yes its a responsibility. And the cute little thing is named 'ELMO'. :)

Learning to Walk again..

If there was ONE THING in my life that I have never been judgmental about.. it has been MUSIC. I have always considered myself generous enough to give an ear to any song someone has recommended. And even if I never like it, I can never get more than a "not bad" out of me. Be it pop, where ppl call it gay, or rock where like thts de ultimate music to rock fans, or whatever other genre you can think of, I will give it a shot. To me having to delete a song from my folders is on the list of my TEN COMMANDMENTS.. "Thou shall not delete ANY song" :)

Social Media Week.

There's a Social Media Week taking place locally as well as globally from Feb 13th-17th where the discussions will focus on Social Media presence in recent times. Looks interesting and definitely informative. They have Webinars which you can attend easily by registering on their site and the schedule is also available.

For Future Parents and Present Kids..

Its come to this.. A Video gone viral on how a parent reacts to a Facebook status update by his daughter. I know I've heard a lot of those cliche dialogues from my folks, where they dint have an easy childhood or where they had to struggle to make ends meet. This again just proves that the Social Media is turning out to be a bigger platform for anyone to vent their feelings as seen in the video. But I don't understand why it went viral?? I mean the Kolaveri was much better.

On the Path of fire..

After all the hype surrounding Agneepath, I thought I'd take the plunge and go watch it in the cinemas. Not because I really really wanted to watch it, but for a change my dad wanted to see why it was such a big hit; And since I wasn't the one compelling him to watch it, I wouldn't have to bear the brunt of his dislike in the end.
So here is my critic review on the movie..

It took 42 years to write and about 4 minutes to sing!

One of my favorite oldies.. Its one of those pure classic guitar melodies with simple heart rendering lyrics which you don't get to hear these days. No digital synthesizing, no modulation, just pure simple music.

The Lyrics..

David Guetta in town..

After Metalllica and Avicci, put your hands up for David Guetta.. Yes, he's coming to Delhi, Pune and Bangalore. Tickets cost around Rs 2000/- which seems to be the norm these days. But what the hell, these concerts don't happen very often. I wish I could go for it. Probably another time. But if you can make it, don't miss out on the opportunity!

The Adidas F50

I finally bought a new pair of Studs deemed fit for my legs. After a thorough search through almost every Sports store in Kuwait, I hence certify that Go Sport in the Avenues Mall has the best variety and prices especially during sale time. Though it would come to a 90% match to what I was looking for, The Adidas F50 is worth the deal.

Grooveshark with aMo..

So, I finally got a widget after a lot of experimentation which shows the songs that I downloaded recently and are on my car playlist. I thought of updating the list every week depending on whatever new songs I come to hear about. Five new songs every Friday is how I plan to update this list. This is going to be on trial because its taking more time for my blog to load after adding this widget.

Football party Anthem..

I just saw this recently, and by far the best music for a football compilation ever according to me.
The artist is Cali & El Dandee and the song is Gol. They have so many versions for the video that I don't think they have an original video released. I found a video for almost every team and player (Bit exaggeration, but there are soooo many).

Update: I have no idea why the video is not showing on the blog, but the link is
Cali & El Dandee - Gol Video Oficial

I am not the only one who hates Alex Ferguson!

Fun fact that I noticed recently.
Every time there is a match between Manchester United and any team, or specifically a good team like Arsenal/ Liverpool, I see that my earlier post on I hate Alex Ferguson gets a lot of reviews. So either the guys out there could be genuinely searching just for Ferguson, or then maybe plain ol they also just HATE HIM. It just crossed all the other posts to be the top most read one in my blog. Interesting... hmmm...

Somebody That I Used To Know...

"Somebody That I Used To Know"
(feat. Kimbra)

[Gotye:]
Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad that it was over

Bajaj Nano???

Move aside Tata Nano.. we have a WINNER!
The newest small budget car was announced by Bajaj Auto on the eve of Auto Expo 2012.

Called the RE60, it boasts of a 40km/l mileage and will have a 200cc engine.
What more to look for??
It will have a top speed of 70km/hr which is also good enough.
They plan to launch it in 2012 itself, but probably outside India first.
