I heard about the Real Madrid Resort Island project a few days earlier, but only recently looked it up. Its quite amazing that this 50 hectare resort is again going to be on a Man made island. Any guesses as to where? Simple! Ras al-Khaimah (One of the Emirates), U.A.E. One more added to the many other man made islands.
The Real Madrid Resort will be a 1 billion dollar theme park that boasts of a five-star hotel, beachside bungalows, amusement park with a rollercoaster, sports facilities that include training pitches and swimming pools plus a marina for yachting, as well as the 10,000-seat football stadium open on one side to a view of the sea. Wow!!
Great work by the Real Team! And also another excellent means to build on their capital. Imagine the inflow of tourists and especially the oil rich Middle Easterners who are willing to spend anything and everything. Brilliant idea. I wonder when other clubs are going to follow suit.
I just read what Florentino Perez (Club President) had to say about this project. Its as if they are doing this as some kind of a charity towards the football loving Mid-East. (Sic) We know you want to make millions out of this!! :) I just hope its affordable to poor folks like us.
