I ran... . I dodged .. I jumped n wobbled..
I kicked some ball...and I kicked em all...
I've won.. I've lost.. I've laughed.. I've cried..
But I would play again.. for the love of the game..
| yea.. my GAME FACE!! :) |
Felt so good playing a game of football after 6 months. One thing, I love to do in Kuwait, where you know you can get enough players and a decent ground within a short period of time. Well my legs are not on REAL TIME with my football brain but guess a few more days and hopefully my fitness will improve. Seeing how unfit I am at this age, makes me wonder what I'll be when I hit a 30 or a 40. God help me!! But just the thought of playing or anything to do with football gives me a high that would topple over alcohol any day!! :)
Today I played for a team called "KICKASS" and we won by a score of 3-2. However, the highlight of the tournament wasn't just the matches played, but the audience. It was organized by the KAKAS (no offense meant) in Kuwait, and I just realized for the first time how aggressive they can get. Our team supporters got involved in a fight which was totally unnecessary, and the way it was going like any other malu, I was also waiting for it to get bigger. :)
Anyway it lasted only just 10 minutes. If you hear any Malu fight in Abbassiya. don't be surprised. Btw if you feel watching, the tournament is taking place at Al-Nasser Sports Club ground in Ardiya every Fridays.
